How to Decide What Rate to Pay for Our Services

Oree Virtual offers our services at different rates based on your access to wealth and resources. Our sliding scale helps us share resources more equitably or fairly between those we work with. Those who pay at the higher end of the scale make it possible for us to work with grassroots organizations at little cost to them.

Please use the questions below to help you consider what rate to pay for our services. We know that your life experiences can’t be so easily wrapped up in a few brief questions. However, we hope that asking yourself these questions will help you in your decision-making process.

Ask Yourself the Following Questions

– Are you and your family homeowners or landowners?

– Are your bills or credit cards on autopay?

– Has it been relatively easy accessing and affording healthcare or health insurance for you or your family members?

– Do you have low debt and/or do you have disposable income?

– Do you have a safety net composed of “financially stable” or wealthy family and friends?

– Do you have U.S. Citizenship?

– Does your income only support you, and not other loved ones?

– Have you or do you expect to inherit money or property?

– Have you (or could you have) attended college?

– Have you (or could you have) attended graduate school?

Determining Your Rate

Based on your answers to the self assessment above, below is the rate category we suggest for you. Refer to the proposal we sent you for the project cost in that rate category.

If you answered almost all no → Solidarity

If you answered more no than yes → Sustain

If you answered more yes than no → Full Cost

If you answered almost all yes → Redistribution

*Note that there are four tiers for our rates (Solidarity, Sustain, Full Cost, and Redistribution), but that not all four rates are available for all services. Therefore, you may not see all four tiers listed on your proposals from us.
